Sandygul is raising five children on her own. The family lives in a single small room with no gas and no hot water. This one room is where they cook, wash their clothes, and spend every day. Because there isn’t enough space, two of the children had to move to their relatives’ home in the village.
After her husband was sent to prison, all responsibility for the family fell on Sandygul. She takes any job she can find to support her children. Sometimes she has no choice but to leave them alone for a short time while she works. One day, because of this, child protection services took her children away, and she spent a whole month fighting to bring them back.
Her only dream is to have a safe home where she can live together with all of her children.
